Scam Builder
We would like to draw your attention
to an incident that occurred in Warwick Road, Bishops Stortford at 0930 hours
on Tuesday 7th July where a man knocked on someone's door and said he was
a builder. He told the occupant that he had replaced tiles on their roof and
demanded money for the repair.
Fortunately the occupant did not pay him, told him they hadn't asked for the
work to be done and closed the door.
This is the first time this type of incident has happened in East Herts although
there have been a few in other parts of the county. So please remind everyone
not to open their door to anyone they don't know and if you see of hear anything
suspicious, particularly a vehicle, then please ring the police immediately
on 0845 33 00 222.
Thank you
